Hi y'all! I'm Keely Hamman Payne - I am your rancher behind the brand, KeeChai Creek Ranch. Welcome to our beef cattle page!
I grew up in Jacksboro, Texas, as a very involved member of my family’s cattle ranch. As a sixth generation rancher and fourth generation Hereford breeder, I wholeheartedly love working on the land and raising cattle. Seeing the ever increasing need from consumers wanting quality and tasty beef from sources they trust, I decided to bridge the gap and provide those in the community with just that - local, great tasting beef! Each year my family processes our own beef and pork for our supper tables. Being no stranger to the self processing side of the beef industry, you can trust that the quality of beef provided, will be perfect for any type of family meal and the exact same beef that is put on our tables each night.

The KeeChai name originated from the Keechi Creek in Jack County that starts in our 'East Pasture', and is named after the Kichai Indians. Wanting to put a spin on the two names, I chose KeeChai (Key - Ch - eye) to merge the American and Kichai names in representation of the very water source, grassland, and ancestral ties that support the cattle of KeeChai.

Just as the Kichai people honored Mother Earth, my family and I believe conservation and sustainability in our land and resources will help provide our world with a better and happier tomorrow.
